How Many People Will Use the Printer?
A personal printer is only suitable if you will be the only one printing from it. If there are more people in the office that need to use the printer, you need an ethernet or wireless connection. You also want to make sure that it can hold enough paper so that you’re not continuously reloading the tray throughout the day.
Some printers perform more than one function, such as photocopying and scanning on top of printing. These extra functions may be extremely useful to some offices, but would be a waste in others. If you only want to print documents, there’s no need for the other functions. But they can be useful for digitizing or making copies of hard-copy texts or sending documents to other people.
If your business prints large volumes every day, you will need to look at more heavy-duty printers. Alternatively, you can outsource very large volumes, so you don’t have to handle the printing.
